For those of you who may have a business, or even something like a special hobby or project that is really close to your heart - you know that this creation is something that has a lot of your heart and soul in it. And not only that, what you’ve created kinda feels like its own entity. And I believe that it is.

I’m someone who will look up the astrology chart and human design chart for my business in order to understand it better. I’m always amazed at how fitting this information can be. Our businesses and creations are like distinct entities and energies. I’m not going to go so far as saying they are like children, but you get the point. They are of our own creation, they are very special to us, and we have a soul connection to them.

And because the energy of our business is unique and distinct, we can’t make it something it is not. It’s kinda like saying to someone, “You should be more like this other person,” while neglecting to see the beauty of the individual.

Mountain Practice Journeys was created over 6 years ago and was birthed from the reaching out of colleagues who were curious about starting a private practice, and I was more than happy to help. I have helped many therapists to start, grow, and adapt their private practices so that they work for them. This has been beautiful work and it fed my soul.

But as you have likely noticed, I’ve been changing. And through these changes I’ve been working at adapting Mountain Practice Journeys into what I’m becoming. And I’ve recently come to realize that it isn’t fair for me to try to twist and contort this business, or this energy, into something that it’s not.

Now it’s time for a little story. A few days ago I went on an evening hike to the top of a mountain to watch the sun set, only to turn around in the opposite direction to watch the moon rise. And this was the Super Full Moon in Aries, so there was some potent energy there.

When this was happening I knew it had some meaningful symbolism and I intuitively knew that this represented that the sun is setting on Mountain Practice Journeys and that the moon is rising on Cozy Hermit Coven.

I feel that Mountain Practice Journeys is connected to the sun. Maybe Mountain Practice Journeys is a bit more masculine in his energy. In his humble beginnings, he helped therapist solopreneurs with the practical steps of getting their private practices up and running.

I feel that Cozy Hermit Coven is connected to the moon. She is a bit more feminine in her energy and she can dive below the surface to uncover hidden treasures.

So instead of continuing to stare at the sun that has already set, I’m turning around to face the moon and all of her intuitive wisdom.

So if you’re growing tired of the surface living and want to explore the depths of who you are, I invite you to turn around with me and watch the moon rise as it illuminates the true essence of who you are that has been hidden and silenced for much too long.

This silencing of our souls and our intuitive gifts are connected to harmful expressions of our society including, but not limited to, capitalism, colonialism, patriarchy, and white supremacy.

Although Cozy Hermit Coven is kind and gentle, she is not obedient and passive. She is here for fostering a peaceful connection to your inner knowing, and I believe that this is intricately connected to our collective liberation. Because love and light is nothing without standing up to injustice.

And you may be wondering what this transition means for the Mountain Practice Journeys podcast. Don’t worry, the podcast isn’t going anywhere and I’ll be continuing to release episodes. I’ll only be rebranding to the Cozy Hermit Coven podcast so that all past episodes can remain available. Just because the sun is setting on Mountain Practice Journeys for me doesn’t mean that it has to for those who could use its continued wisdom and guidance.

Cozy Hermit Coven is still being dreamed into existence and will be emerging sometime in 2024, so be sure to follow @cozyhermitcoven on Instagram for the latest details. I can’t wait to connect with you all in the coven soon.

So, as I was wrapping up this episode, I felt the intuitive nudge to pull a card from The Sacred Medicine Oracle by Asha Frost. This deck has a special kind of magic that I can’t even describe. I have never had such a resonance with a deck before and I would say that it truly is sacred medicine. So the card that I pulled for this episode is Fall Equinox represented by the Buffalo and the key word is Release. I definitely felt an instant connection to this card and its timeliness. And the artwork on this card by Steph Littlebird is stunning. Let me read the message from this card… [read from guidebook]

Well, this message couldn’t be more fitting for this episode. And I invite you connect with this message, because it’s likely something that you need to hear at this time too. Each card also has a sacred ceremony and healing affirmation, and I’ll share those with you as well. The sacred ceremony is this… [read from guidebook]

And the healing affirmation is this… [read from guidebook]

I continue to be amazed by this deck and I highly recommend that you get yourself a copy as well. You can find a link in the show notes. Until next time, I’m sending you lots of love.
